Teaching Pastor, Elder

Michael is the founding pastor of Grace Bible Church. He is married to Autumn (since 1998) and they have ten children: six sons (Haven, Sterling, Camden, Finley, London, and Lincoln) and four daughters (Haley, Paisley, Avalon, and Pearl). Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Angelo State University (1999), a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College (2002), and a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary (2015).

Michael was born and raised in a small town in the hill country of Central Texas. He attended Sunday School at the local Southern Baptist Church where he was taught the basics of the faith and the Bible. He attended Angelo State University to play football and met Autumn who was there on a track scholarship. They were married in 1998 and later moved to the Dallas area for Michael to attend Parker Chiropractic College. It was in 2000 that, through differing circumstances, by grace alone the Lord saved them both. Michael practiced chiropractic for 6 years in Highland Village, TX, before moving back to the hill country to run his own chiropractic marketing and consulting business.

In 2012 he felt the increasing burden of the Lord upon his heart to enter into full time pastoral ministry. This call was affirmed by the elders and many members of Kerrville Bible Church. Michael and family then spent the next three years in Southern California so that he could study the biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek), theology, and expository preaching at the Master’s Seminary. During his time in seminary, Michael and the elders at Kerrville Bible Church prayerfully prepared to plant a Bible church in the Boerne area. Gathering together in his home for Bible study, a core group was formed and the church held its first public service January 24, 2016, in a rented space on Insterstate 10. Michael considers it a great blessing to study God’s Word and minister the Word to Grace Bible Church. Both Michael and Autumn are thankful to God for his grace in allowing them to serve alongside the body of believers at Grace Bible Church.
