The biblical leadership of a plurality of shepherding elders is found throughout the New Testament (also referred to as pastors, shepherds or overseers — see 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 5:1-4; Ephesians 4:11ff). Elders are men who are qualified according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. We seek to have a plurality of elders as soon as the Lord blesses us with more qualified men that aspire for that office.

Michael Beck

Teaching Pastor

Michael is married to Autumn and they have nine children: six sons (Haven, Sterling, Camden, Finley, London, and Lincoln) and three daughters (Haley, Paisley, and Avalon). Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Angelo State University (1999), a Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker Chiropractic College (2002), and a Master of Divinity from The Master’s Seminary (2015).

Michael was born and raised in a small town in the hill country of Central Texas. He attended Sunday School at the local Southern Baptist Church where he was taught the basics of the faith and the Bible.

He attended Angelo State University to play football and met Autumn who was there on a track scholarship. They were married in 1998 and later moved to the Dallas area for Michael to attend Parker Chiropractic College. It was in 2000 that, through differing circumstances, by grace alone the Lord saved them both.

Michael practiced chiropractic for 6 years in Highland Village, TX, before moving back to the hill country to run his own chiropractic marketing and consulting business. In 2012 he felt the increasing burden of the Lord upon his heart to enter into full time pastoral ministry. This call was affirmed by the elders and many members of Kerrville Bible Church. Michael and family then spent the next three years in Southern California so that he could study the biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek), theology, and expository preaching at the Master’s Seminary.

During his time in seminary, Michael and the elders at Kerrville Bible Church prayerfully prepared to plant a bible church in Boerne. Michael considers it a great blessing to study God’s Word and minister the Word to Grace Bible Church. Both Michael and Autumn are thankful to God for his grace in allowing them to serve alongside the body of believers at Grace Bible Church.

Joey Bellington

Music Leader, Youth Teacher, Bible Teacher

Joey is married to Claire, with four daughters and one son: Kay, Jane, Blaire, Liv, and Jack. Joey has a degree in Agricultural Economics (Finance and Real Estate Emphasis) from Texas A&M University and works as a real estate broker at Whitetail Properties Real Estate.

Joey was born in Tyler, TX and spent his entire childhood there except for 2 years that his family spent in Brazil serving with a church-building missions organization.  He was blessed to be raised in a home that taught biblical truths which led to his conversion and baptism at an early age.

Shortly after graduation and marriage, Joey and Claire were involved with a biblical church plant in College Station where the Lord began increasing Joey’s love for His church. After moving to the Boerne area, Joey and his family became members of Kerrville Bible Church where they were exposed to biblical expository teaching and sound doctrine/ theology. He also participated in teaching roles and a 2- year “Shepherds in Training” program at KBC.

Joey is excited about the opportunity to be involved in the work of ministry at Grace Bible Church in Boerne. He looks forward to seeing how the Lord will build His church.

Frank Gutting

Audio/Visual, Biblical Counselor, Bible Teacher

Frank was born and raised in San Antonio. He has worked in a variety of different careers, from a cell phone technician, to an insurance agent, to a juvenile corrections officer. During his time as a corrections officer, he found the preaching ministry of John MacArthur and was eventually converted.

After conversion, Frank had a growing desire for ministry. The Lord led him to Grace Bible church in 2015 where that desire continued to grow and mature under the faithful discipleship of the Elders of Grace Bible Church. Since then, he has served in a variety of roles, including a Deacon, bible teacher, and “sound guy.” Frank also completed his Bachelor’s of Christian Ministry from Wayland Baptist University (2017). In 2018, Frank left for southern California to study at the Master’s Seminary. He completed his Master of Divinity degree in May 2020.

Frank is excited about the opportunity to continue serving the local church through any means the Lord will allow.  He is currently completing a Biblical Counseling Certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and hopes the Lord will build a counseling ministry here at Grace Bible Church
